sailormercury is the second sailor senshi to appear, and has control over ice. in her "normal" form, sailormercury's name is ami. she is a *very* intelligent young lady, who attends juuban junior high with usagi, and makoto. ami lives for school. studying takes up much of her free time, and she is usually many chapters ahead of her other class members. with all her studying, ami doesn't have much time for anything else, which is why she seems rather lonely at times. ami lives with her mother (who is, if at all, rarely seen) in an apartment in juuban. there is little, if any, mention of her father, and she has no siblings.

while watching the sailormoon series, one may begin to feel a little sorry for ami, because she is quite lonely, due to her constant studying and total concentration on schoolwork. ami is a very quiet girl, and is rather reserved. though she is normally quite silent, ami will speak her thoughts if need be. while transformed into sailormercury, she has the weakest attacks, though being the "brains" of the senshi often compensates for that.

sailormercury's attacks and transformations

*mercury power, make-up!*-- sailormercury's first transformation. used during all the first season, and most of the second.
*mercury star power, make-up!*-- sailormercury's second transformation. used in late sailormoon R, all the way to sailormoon SS.
*mercury crystal power, make-up!*-- sailormercury says this to transform into supersailormercury, beginning in early sailormoon SS. this is her last transformation.
*shabon spray!*-- sailormercury "releases" a fog of soapy mist, to blind enemies. "shabon spray" means "soap spray".
*shabon spray freezing!*-- the same as shabon spray...only freezing!
*shine aqua illusion!*-- sailor.mercury sprays water everywhere, that turns whatever it hits into an iceblock of sorts.
*double shabon spray freezing!*-- i'm assuming this is a more powerful version of shabon spray freezing.
*mercury aqua mirage!*-- this is my favourite attack. sailormercury spins around in a circle, and throws a sphere of water at the enemy. only used once in the "ami-chan no hatsu-koi" special.
*mercury aqua rhapsody!*-- sailormercury plays a water harp that "shoots" a stream of icy water at her enemy. it's really pretty.
